Originally a native of the North Shore where he spent the early part of his life, Cam decided that the best way to serve the Sea to Sky Corridor and provide full-time Notarial Services was to relocate to Squamish, where he has lived for the past several years.

As a young man, Cam attended Simon Fraser University, where he received his bachelor’s degree in political science. Although his original background was as a real estate agent, he’d grown up around the notary business, and it was this that truly captured his attention. He decided that he wanted to be of service to others and enter the legal profession.

Cam’s hard work and dedication paid off when he was commissioned as a notary in May of 2011. Wasting no time, he opened his own practice just 2 months later. From the time that his Squamish office opened in July of 2011, Cam has been devoting his skills, knowledge, and experience to the service of his clients. Working with a large number of Sea to Sky locals, he has also provided his expertise to many newcomers who have arrived from the city.

Cam and his team provide an array of legal services. He prepares personal planning documents such as wills and power of attorney, as well as advance health care directives. In addition, he aids with estate planning, representation agreements, document certification, and mediation. His specialty, however, lies with real estate transactions, and he loves helping his clients with all of their legal needs related to property. Representing buyers and sellers, borrowers, and lenders, he has handled many types of transactions, including but not limited to the purchases and sales of homes, mortgages, and sub-divisions.

Cam’s dedication to excellence saw him become one of the very first notaries to receive a master’s degree in applied legal studies. This highly intensive program was created by the Society of Notaries Public of British Columbia in order to train notaries to the highest, most exacting standards.

Cam knows that his clients come to him with serious concerns. After all, the purchase of a home is not exactly a small step for most buyers and can prove quite stressful, as can other needs such as preparing a will. He works hard to ensure that his clients are not only well-represented but also well-informed so that they are comfortable with their transactions.
